National Association of Women Business Owners Announces 2002 Corporate Partnership
Also Announcing NAWBO/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award
www.nawbo.org

The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is proud to announce their continued relationship with Wells Fargo as a valued 2002 NAWBO Corporate Partner. NAWBO and Wells Fargo formed this important relationship over six years ago to help women business owners achieve their personal and professional goals.  Since the inception of this partnership, numerous NAWBO members have taken advantage of the wealth of services Wells Fargo offers to women business owners.

To celebrate the years of successful collaboration between the two organizations, Wells Fargo and NAWBO are partnering on a new award, The NAWBO/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award, highlighting the achievements of a "trailblazing" NAWBO woman business owner. The award recipient will be designated based on an entry process. Entry forms will be distributed to all NAWBO members via email in the coming days.

"NAWBO is extremely proud to continue its work with Wells Fargo. And we're excited that the leaders at Wells Fargo recognize the value of a Corporate Partnership with NAWBO and our 8,000 members. We are also equally excited about the new award that we will work together to bestow on a deserving NAWBO member, commemorating over six years of partnership between our two groups," stated NAWBO President Sandra Hernandez Adams.

"We at Wells Fargo value our partnership with NAWBO because we share a deep, long-standing commitment to women business owners," said Colleen Anderson, Executive Vice President of California Business Banking and National Spokesperson for Wells Fargo Women's Business Services. "The number of woman-owned businesses in the United States continues to grow at twice the rate of all U.S. firms, and those businesses show significantly greater increases in employment and revenues. Helping women business owners succeed has been part of our tradition since our company began 150 years ago as a small business. The new NAWBO/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award is yet another way we can celebrate women in business and provide all the rewards our great team has to offer."

Wells Fargo & Company is a diversified financial services company with $308 billion in assets, providing banking, insurance, investments, mortgage and consumer finance from more than 5,400 stores and the Internet (wellsfargo.com) across North America and elsewhere internationally.

The NAWBO Corporate Partner program offers corporations the opportunity to cultivate a relationship with the fastest growing segment of the business community -- women business owners. In addition, partnerships, such as
this, help NAWBO fund important initiatives that allow the association to deliver greater benefits to its members, including resources to help them grow their businesses. Founded in 1975, NAWBO propels women entrepreneurs
into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. More than a quarter-century later, NAWBO is still the only organization that solely represents the interest of women entrepreneurs in all industries. The organization's mission is to strengthen the wealth-creating capacity of its members and promote economic development; to create innovative and effective change in the business culture; to build strategic alliances, coalitions and affiliations; and to transform public policy and influence opinion makers.
