Greetings and welcome to new member Amanda Huber. Amanda is Code Poet (love that title!) and CEO of Vulcan Creative Labs in Fort Worth. As Amanda describes it, Vulcan’s trade of choice is “helping others succeed by transforming their thoughts and ideas into quality promotional materials for business.” Established in 1998 in collaboration with her brother Eric, Vulcan is now a multi-faceted firm offering graphic design, desktop publishing, photography, marketing, copywriting and printing.
The Vulcan name was inspired by Amanda’s mother who, as Amanda and her siblings were growing up, encouraged their curiosities about classical studies. “She taught us to respect the thoughts and ideas of others, to help those in need, to stand on our own when we have the strength, to explore the world and to never lose our sense of wonder about the universe.” Vulcan’s mission, “Be Bold. Get Vulcanized,” reflects the strength of her mother’s influence.
Amanda is drawn to NAWBO’s talented group of professional women sharing a common experience. Recognizing that an organization like ours is bound for great achievements, she naturally wanted to be a part. As a result of several years of doing business, Amanda is eager to share her lessons learned, along with her particular expertise. She hopes to form “symbiotic relationships” in which she can "be a mentor for, and learn from, other female business owners, establish strategic contacts, pool resources and make new friends.”
Amanda experiences joy through the freedom to create her own workplace. She enjoys working with her family and creating from her home-based environment. She especially enjoys working with small-and mid-size firms, including other home-based businesses, to help them polish their company images. Please join us in “boldly” welcoming Amanda to NAWBO!
