Did you know that a recent study commissioned by ACCION, USA, found that 82 percent of the estimated 13.1 million micro-entrepreneurs in the United States have never received a bank loan? Did you know that of those, 86 percent had never applied for one, in many cases because of fear of rejection? Well, have no fear. You will soon be able to apply for a low-interest loan, with an easy application process, from a group you know – NAWBO.

The NAWBO Micro-Lending Program is taking shape and we, the committee, are excited about what this program can do for our members. The policies and procedures are in their final stages and the necessary legal steps are under way. You should expect to hear about the details and benefits soon.

A special "thank you" goes to those members who participated in the micro-lending survey and to the Mastermind groups that provided us with very valuable feedback. Because of YOU, we are able to create a program that we believe will be a big success.
