Congress Begins Budget Season, NEA Proposes "Our Town" Initiative

NASAA Legislative Counsel Thomas L. Birch The Obama administration's fiscal year 2011 budget proposes a $6 million cut in National Endowment for the Arts funding, to $161.3 million. NASAA and our advocacy colleagues are hopeful that Congress will again vote to retain NEA funds cut by the president's proposal, with the possibility of an increase over FY2010 spending to $180 million.
