  The environmental and economic viability of Central Florida is inextricably tied to the freshwater aquifers and surface waters.  Fresh water has been a plentiful and inexpensive resource in the past for Central Florida.  But as the region’s aquifers are drawn down, water from mechanically purified sources may become increasingly expensive.

Central Floridians value a quality of life that includes access and the ability to enjoy our environment.  There are seven natural jewels in our seven county region worth preserving and protecting for generations to come.  For the first time in history, dozens of our regional leaders joined forces this past Friday and something powerful happened!
