DID YOU KNOW?

Reclaimed water is highly treated domestic wastewater used for purposes such as irrigation of yards, agriculture, golf courses and other green spaces; industrial uses, such as cooling water and process water; ground water recharge, toilet flushing; dust control and environmental restoration.  Reuse reduces the reliance on ground water, surface water and potable water for these purposes

OUR ENVIRONMENT...
PRESERVE & PROTECT!

Coming this August 12th, for the first time ever, Naturally Central Florida (a partnership between seven Central Florida counties, myregion.org, and the University of Central Florida Metropolitan Center for Regional Studies) will unveil the first document in a community process to protect and sustain the exceptional ecosystems of Central Florida.  Seven “jewels of our natural world” in Central Florida will be identified and showcased.  These are “must save” places with regional, national, (and in some cases) global ecological and economic value that benefit Florida and the Nation.  When viewed together in a regional landscape, these green spaces and blueway waters represent a visionary and bold initiative to protect the best natural areas that are left in Central Florida.

Before this unveiling and while summer-time fun is still to be had, might myregion suggest a mini-vacation to discover these Central Florida jewels and find out for yourself why they are a treasure!
