ECONOMIC LEADERSHIP...
ENHANCING OUR ASSETS!

Imagine a community alive with entrepreneurial programs, businesses and employees enriched by development opportunities, and unprecedented cooperation linking representatives from tourism, economic development, and workforce initiatives. It’s not only possible — it's happening - thanks to Central Florida leaders. By creating a collective vision for economic expansion, we’re building a new future for Central Florida, while ensuring market growth and global competitiveness.

HIGHLIGHTS & HAPPENINGS

Central Florida will strengthen its position in the global marketplace by creating a competitive workforce through top-notch education. We resolve to develop the region's human capital as the most important asset and basic building block of the future.  Through a regional pre-K to 12 educational strategy capable of placing Central Florida in the top 10 percent of the nation's school systems, the region will simultaneously support our colleges and universities to attain global leadership in educational excellence.
The future looks promising!

While the United States is expected to grow at a rate of 47% through 2050, the anticipated growth rate for the seven-county Central Florida region is 136%. This increase offers a variety of opportunities and challenges for the region. The economic vitality created by the addition of a large number of talented professionals has the potential to make Central Florida a leader in the global economy of the 21st century.

Ready or Not, Here they come!

Civic ties in American society have weakened over the past several generations. The result in many communities is a shortage of “social capital”, the networks of family, neighbors and friends and the trust and reciprocity that flow from them.
How will we create ties that bind?
