"What began as a small town known for citrus is now a major global market
ripe for high tech growth, specifically simulation. Orlando's reasonable
cost of living, blossoming university and a young workforce have been a
major draw for many high tech companies. Currently, the region is taking the
lead in the growing cluster of Modeling, Simulation, and Training. This
cluster has 110 companies located in the Central Florida region with over
$800 million in annual sales, a $1.5 billion economic impact on the state
and over 3,500 employees. As Central Florida continues to grow, it is this
cluster industry that will help us shape our future."
