"Tourism has always been an important aspect of our region's economy.
Therefore, as we move through the 21st century, it is important that Central Florida continues to compete on a global basis for tourism. In
addition, we must recognize that regions and nations are increasingly
identifying tourism as a major component of their economic development
strategies. Many nations are already marketing their entire country as a
single venue on a global basis."
