 LEADERSHIP
 SPOTLIGHT

Dr. Duane E. DeFreese
Vice President of Florida Research, Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute
myregion.org Executive Committee Member, Co-Chair: Environment

“Our region has many wonderful ecological treasures including the ocean, numerous rivers, lakes and springs. Simply as natural wonders, they should be admired, respected and treated responsibly. But there are also very practical reasons for committing to good stewardship. In a global marketplace where economic growth is lifestyle driven, they offer our Central Florida region a competitive advantage that cannot be matched or surpassed by any other place on earth."
