How Shall We Grow? a 15-month endeavor to engage Citizens, Community Leaders and Elected Officials to create a Shared Vision for Growth in Central Florida, was nominated in three categories at the American Planning Association’s Information Technology Awards.
The results, released by the APA earlier this week, have How Shall We Grow? chosen in all three categories. With three partners recognized for their work on the project, it demonstrates the power of partnership when creating a Shared Vision for Growth. The East Central Florida Planning Council took home Best Use of Technology for Planning Analysis for their creative use of technology with How Shall We Grow? The University of Florida won Best Use of Technology for a University Urban and Regional Planning Program, for their comprehensive work and teachings using the project. myregion.org received the award for Best Use of Technology for Public Participation, for the tremendous work in enhancing public involvement. The awards will be presented on Monday April 16th at the American Planning Association National Conference in Philadelphia.
