Meet the myregion.org Staff
Deborah K. Emilsson was born in Bethesda, Maryland and grew up in Bradenton, Florida. Debbie came to Orlando pre-Disney and has watched Orlando grow over the years. She shares her home with one dog and one cat. She also has one daughter, Shannon, who was born and raised in Orlando, left, and after three years in New York City, returned to her roots. (Yes, Mom was happy!)
Debbie previously worked for a private retail securities firm in Winter Park, Florida, where she held a securities license and was the Executive Assistant to the President for 14 years. She also worked for a consulting firm in Lake Mary, Florida for four years. The work involved "smart card" processes and Department of Defense contracting work, which later developed into Homeland Security programs. She now serves as the Administrative Assistant to the myregion.org team.
Debbie loves to travel, and has been to Iceland many times (it’s the best kept "secret" in the world!) She also loves golf, reading and beading.
