myregion.org Launches New Website

The new myregion.org website is now “live!”  Designed and powered by Technetium Creative, the new content management site provides a flexible and streamlined portal for information gathering and collaboration.

The deployment of the new site will help myregion.org achieve its goal of preparing the Central Florida Region to compete more effectively in the 21st century while enhancing the quality of life of its citizenry. New interactive features include a regional imap with county links, research and publications downloads, the “How Shall We Grow” weblog and a regional issues message board forum.

Whether your prefer information in written summaries, audio clips, photo galleries, or public commentary, www.myregion.org and www.HowShallWeGrow.org have it all.

The “How Shall We Grow?” blog is the latest place to get all of the updates on the Central Florida Regional Growth Vision project currently underway.  Led by myregion.org, a series of 21 Community Input Meetings were held throughout the seven-county region in May and June.  Visitors to this latest use of technology can review the county-by-county meetings and provide their own opinions and commentary about how our region is growing.

“How Shall We Grow? – Creating a Shared Vision for Central Florida” is a fifteen-month process that brings together local, regional and state agencies in a partnership to design our collective future.  The Florida Department of Community Affairs, Florida Department of Transportation, the Central Florida MPO Alliance, East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, and myregion.org have combined their professional talents and resources to take this message to the people of our region.

Stay tuned to www.myregion.org for upcoming events and current news.  The next round of community outreach sessions are scheduled for September and October.
