myregion.org Holds New Board Member Orientation
The “new” members of the myregion.org Board of Directors convened on Monday, August 29, 2005, and made a commitment to becoming part of the continued regional collaborative effort.
 
Jacob V. Stuart, President, myregion.org, and Ed Timberlake, Vice Chair of Fund Development, myregion.org welcomed new board members for a time of conversation, fellowship, learning and lunch. Attendees received an in-depth review of myregion.org and discussed the successes and challenges we face as an organization, a community, and most importantly – as a region.
 
One of the goals of myregion.org is to create a platform for regional leadership and inclusion. Progress is being made through a variety of collaborative efforts and initiatives that have come about as a direct result of the community awareness and relationship building. New board members join the growing ranks of government, business, civic institutions and the citizens of the seven-county region have come together to address issues at a regional level, reach consensus on regional priorities and strategies for the region.
