Committed to Our Future

The American Heritage Dictionary defines “vision” as “intelligent foresight.” Ensuring the prosperity and success of our region in the global economy is certainly a major undertaking that requires careful forethought and foreknowledge.

For this reason, the Executive Committee of myregion.org has set forth the task of defining a Mision and Vision that will enhance and protect our exceptional quality of life.

After much thought and deliberation, the leadership team of myregion.org has pledged to:

“Engage and connect our communities in good stewardship of our people, environment, and industry to create a competitive advantage for the 21st century.”

By fulfilling this Mission, the “Regional Vision for Central Florida” will become a reality:

“Central Florida is a world-class leader in community building, innovation and collaboration, promoting the well-being of its people, economy, and quality life.”

A genuine commitment to our region has been exemplified by this group of dedicated professionals, who, even in the midst of the most challenging and time-consuming phase of the project, are eager to continue with the arduous task of shaping our future. A “Phase Two Working Group,” lead by Executive Committee member and Development Co-Chair Randy Lyon, has already been appointed to address future organization and development strategies and to explore funding opportunities for the “implementation phase” of myregion.org.

It is the unanimous sentiment of Executive Committee that only through regional collaboration, can our region overcome its challenges, seize new opportunities and secure a bright future for all generations to come.
