There are seven counties being studied in the Central Florida region by myregion.org. Six were created between 1845 and 1887. The seventh-Seminole County-was created in 1913. Of the seven counties established in the region, all vary widely in terms of size, density, shape, total population and urban character. Don’t Miss the 2002 Regional
Leadership Conference

Where can you go in Central Florida to hear from our region’s seven county chairs, five community college presidents representing six counties, and eight regional school district superintendents? Where can you participate in meaningful dialogue with business, community and government leaders from the seven-county region now that the myregion.org Community Issues Workshops are over?

Educational and thought-provoking sessions like these are scheduled to take place November 6 - 8 at the Regional Leadership Conference to be held at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida. 43 Community Organizations, including myregion.org, have joined as one team to organize and plan the 2002 Regional Leadership Conference. These organizations have been working diligently to assist in the coordination, program development and recruiting of speakers for the Conference.

Here is what one of myregion.org’s Executive Committee members had to say about last year’s Conference . . .

“This conference has exceeded my expectations. You come to these conferences expecting to have great networking and some good meetings, but this meeting has been phenomenal.”
Craig McAllaster, Dean, Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business, Rollins College
Executive Committee Member, Co-Chair - Healthcare, myregion.org
