All ‘Round The Region
As the myregion.org
initiative continues with the Information
Analysis phase of the project, there remains a great deal to learn and
discuss about the findings gathered by Michael Gallis, Michael Gallis and
Associates, about Central Florida. The myregion.org
team continues to reach out to the community by giving presentations and meeting
with key groups in the region. Following is a summary of some of the events
that have taken place recently:

County: Wednesday,

presented to the Winter Haven
Chamber of Commerce Trustees. This presentation was the first time new
information had been unveiled to the Polk County community. As myregion.org
has completed the final stages of Information Gathering and is immersed
in the Information Analysis phase of the project the new information
is now being presented across the region.
- Educating Lake County:
Monday, September 16, Shelley Lauten, Project Director, myregion.org,
presented to the Leadership Team of the Lake
County School Board. Shelley presented some of the fascinating findings
and statistics gathered during the first-year of the project regarding Education
in the Central Florida region, especially in Lake County.
- Addressing Key Regional
Leaders: Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17 in the Roy E.
Crummer School of Business at Rollins College; Project Consultant, Michael
Gallis met in a series of roundtable meetings with leaders from the Transportation,
