Speakers Wanted

As the demand to hear more about myregion.org continues to increase, so do the number of public presentations taking place. We are looking for volunteer speakers to make appearances throughout the seven-county region to talk about the purpose, status and significance of this regional partnership.

Speakers Bureau training classes have been held throughout the region, and another two-hour training program will be held at the Orlando Regional Chamber, located at 75 South Ivanhoe Boulevard in downtown Orlando, on Wednesday, September 25, 2002, at 9:00 a.m. Project Director Shelley Lauten will provide a review of the program as well as the preferred talking points to be emphasized. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, a PowerPoint presentation, and supplementary materials.

“We are excited about the numerous requests from the community to hear more about myregion.org. We are seeking volunteer committee members to speak in a variety of venues ranging from seniors centers to rotary clubs to just about anyone who wants to hear more about it,” said Ellen Titen, Communications Committee Liaison to the Executive Committee.

For further information on becoming a part of the Speakers Bureau or to schedule a speaker for your event, contact Vilma Quintana at 1.800.900.5315 or vilma.Quintana@orlando.org.
