myregion.org Offers Leadership Opportunities

One of the most significant elements of myregion.org is leadership development, a primary objective of this unique multi-year regional development program.

Organizing and training leaders is critical as the initiative identifies the seven-county area’s strengths, opportunities, and challenges. Strong leaders are needed for nurturing a new regional mindset and forming new coalitions that fortify the region’s future.

“As we move forward into the 21st century economy, we will need strong leaders who will embrace the challenges and changes ahead, and who are commited to guiding our communities and residents,” explained Jacob Stuart, president of myregion.org. “This is an opportunity for people to become involved in a very tangible way in making a difference for the region. Twenty-first century leaders need 21st century knowledge.”

Leadership opportunities abound in July at the next series of Essential Activity Workshops, scheduled for July 9 through 12 at the Orlando Science Center. The format will offer interactive dialogue focused on the data gathered from across the region. For registration information about the workshops or for getting actively involved, visit www.myregion.org or call 407-835-2445 or toll free at 1-800-900-5315.
