Nearly 1,000 participants are expected to attend the second round of Essential Activity Workshops, which have been scheduled for July, marking a new phase in the myregion.org initiative.

The workshops will take place July 9 through July 12 at the Orlando Science Center in Orlando, and will provide the opportunity for public input on the data that has been gathered during the past few months. Thanks to intensive work by the Project Consultant and the Technical Committee, regional data has been translated into visual pictures of the region on over 250 maps. These maps will be the focus for discussion at the workshops. Participants will help identify what’s missing and what needs further clarification. The July workshops will be a key opportunity for community feedback prior to the development of the Regional Source Book, which will ultimately become the framework for future planning in the region.
