On July 8th Lynne Christensen, Immediate Past President of the Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce presented final arguments and evidence to the National Energy Board’s hearings on the SE2 application. MRCC opposes the application and our evidence document outlined the approximate cost incurred by the National Energy Board for processing SE2’s application as of February 2003.

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

I would be remiss if I did not mention the 2010 Olympics. I, along with about 50 other invited guests attended the breakfast hosted by our MLA, Randy Hawes.
All eyes where glued to the TV screen, and when it was announced that Vancouver had won the bid loud cheers resounded throughout the room. I believe, as do many others, the Olympics and the improvements to the infrastructure needed for their success will be the catalyst that will bring BC out of its economic slump.
