December 15 2000 Lights of Comfort & Joy - we begin by contacting businesses within the Region (Hope, Mission , Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Sardis areas) and fax them similar information as what is attached. A Light Up Launch takes place December 15th at 5 PM (Chilliwack Comfort Inn, Hope Quality Inn, Abbotsford White Spot and a Mission location – yet to be confirmed) and the lights stay lit through January 2nd or so. Individuals are also invited to ‘Light up the Lights’ for the Children!

December 31 The Amazing Race to The Night of 1,000 S’miles New Years’ Eve Gala – December 31st – an evening of Around the World fun and taste sensations! All ticket purchasers have the opportunity to get their Passport stamped at five major sponsors (located within Abbotsford) and receive additional savings at each sponsor business, culminating in the chance to win one of FIVE major prizes the night of the Gala. The Grand Prize is a pair of diamond earrings valued at $10,000 so all are encouraged to get their tickets early, travel ‘Around the World’ and get their passports stamped to have the chance to win one of the major prizes. There will be dancing all night long by The Moonlighters (big band sound) plus a DJ; music from the 1940’s all the way to the present! The menu planned is “Out of This World” J (no, correct that – it is “Around the World” with tantalizing culinary delights from across 5 major continents!). An event NOT to be missed!
