Meet the Maryhill Winery Tasting Room Team
Proudly answering the eternal question, "Where is the bar from?"
Put spacious feel together with stunning scenery, throw in some savory wine and gourmet food and you have arrived inside Maryhill Winery’s Destination Tasting Room. Then there’s the Tasting Bar… an 1890’s vintage Brunswick made of Tiger Oak which traveled from the East Coast around Cape Horn all the way to Alaska before someone brought it back into the continental United States in the 1960’s.
“While we were still under construction Craig said he already had a bar ready for the tasting room,” said Tasting Room Manager, Linda Derrickson. “I had no idea it was going to be this massive or this elegant. Every person who walks through our door is impressed with its remarkable beauty and storied history.”
So now that you know some of the wonderful physical amenities at Maryhill, it’s time to meet some of the personal ones. Here’s your chance to meet Linda and the rest of Maryhill Winery’s Tasting Room Team. Each member of this special group is fully committed to ensuring you thoroughly enjoy your time at Maryhill Winery.
 Linda Derrickson
Tasting Room Manager
Linda lives in The Dalles, Oregon with her 17-year-old son Ryan. She has extensive experience in the wine industry including working as a sales rep for a wine distributor in New Mexico and as a tasting room manager at another winery in Oregon. "I like to think that we enable folks to enjoy great friends, good food and fine wine when they visit Maryhill."
 Adie Jones
Tasting Room Team Member
Adie (pronounced like "80") and her husband Billy Ray originally came to the Columbia River Gorge area for the world-class windsurfing. Now Adie enjoys dancing and teaching dance as well as gardening and golf. Adie and Bill make their home in The Dalles, Oregon.
"I have to admit that part of the reason I like working at Maryhill is easy access to our best wines. Bill and I enjoy the art of pairing them with gourmet meals."

Tasting Room Team Member
Michelle lives in Goldendale, Washington with her husband Scott and their two sons, Matt who is 15 and Mark who is 13. As the first team member hired, Michelle has logged many hours behind the Tasting Bar and can recall several funny stories:
"One guest was attempting to determine whether one of our dump pitchers was a genuine Carnival antique. As she lifted it up to look at the bottom she poured the entire pitcher down her front. Fortunately, she began laughing with the rest of us."
 Mary Ervin
Tasting Room Team Member
Mary lives in The Dalles and has two sons, Dustin who is 21 and Shane who is 18. Mary also works full-time as a letter carrier for the USPS so the only time you’ll catch her bright smile is on Sundays.
"My rural postal route keeps me out on the road alone for most of the week. I like to come to Maryhill on Sundays and help people enjoy the wines and their time here."
