-Annual Referral and Relocation Guide: Members receive a complimentary listing by business category.  Over 50,000 of these glossy publications are printed then mailed to every residence and business in McKinney.  They are also distributed to prospective new residents who request relocation information from the Chamber and included in the new resident welcome bags.  Discounted ad rates are available for members.

McKinney Chamber Hands Off BREP Program to MEDC
Program to Expand Under MEDC

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce has incubated another successful program that will now be under the umbrella of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation where it will continue to thrive.

The award-winning Business Retention and Expansion Program will now be housed at the McKinney EDC where that program will take on new initiatives while maintaining the original core functions that has added value to the McKinney business community. BREP, a 6-year-old program, was a partnership between the McKinney EDC and the McKinney Chamber that focused on supporting existing businesses in McKinney by building relationships and providing resources. The goal is to retain businesses and aid in their expansion which in turn creates jobs and a large commercial tax base for the City.

Board Hires Search Firm
Waverly Partners to Begin Search for New Chamber President

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce is on a hunt – a hunt for the next Chamber President.

The Chamber’s Board of Directors began the process in January with a 16 member search committee representing a wide cross section of the Chamber Membership and the business community. Since then the Executive Committee have hired a national search firm, Waverly Partners, to begin compiling information about the Chamber, the community and what attributes are needed to lead the organization forward.

“We want the process to be thorough,” said Board Chairman Keith Clifton. “It is important that we find the right and best person. Every Chamber and every community is unique which means we need to find the best fit for our organization. I have every confidence that this search firm will do a comprehensive job of understanding our needs and locating exceptional candidates.”
