As some of you may know, I gave birth to our second daughter on July 8, 2009.   So like any new mother who just arrives home from the hospital, I tried to recover, bond with our new daughter while planning fun activities for our older daughter, check e-mails, and think of what to make for dinner.  After the first week, I thought to myself, I think I got the hang of this. 

Visitors would come and go.  And it was after a visitor would leave that I would start to doubt my juggling act.  It finally hit me that the reason why was the two questions I would consistently receive.  1) Are you going to try for a boy? 2) How are you going to handle two kids and work?  As for the first question, I can’t blame the curious mind.  And as for the second question, I thought I was handling it.  I thought I was managing home and work.  It’s only been a week and I thought I was doing an OK job...

Brenda BakerWe have our National Fall Conference coming up October 8th-11th in Indianapolis.  “Leadership in Uncertain Times” in the theme of this meeting and appropriately so.  This meeting is for ALL NTMA members. If you haven’t been to a National NTMA conference you are missing out. What exactly are you missing out on?  Well, if you ask anyone who has attended, you miss out on networking and mentoring with other shop owners who have the issues you deal with on a regular basis who may help you find ways to get through those issues.

NTMA Training Centers of Southern California, a private non-profit trust organization with two campuses in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas has immediate openings for highly motivated, results-oriented PART-TIME and FULL-TIME Machinist Instructors to work at both our Norwalk, CA and Ontario, CA campuses. 

This is a GREAT opportunity for experienced Machinists to pass on their knowledge to others!  Flexible schedules available as the NTMA Training Centers hold classes from 7am – 11pm Monday thru Friday (multiple classes throughout the day) and 8am-4:30pm on Saturdays.
