INSTRUCTORS NEEDED!
Immediate Openings

NTMA Training Centers of Southern California, a private non-profit trust organization with two campuses in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas has immediate openings for highly motivated, results-oriented PART-TIME and FULL-TIME Machinist Instructors to work at both our Norwalk, CA and Ontario, CA campuses.  This is a GREAT opportunity for experienced Machinists to pass on their knowledge to others!  Flexible schedules available as the NTMA Training Centers hold classes from 7am – 11pm Monday thru Friday (multiple classes throughout the day) and 8am-4:30pm on Saturdays.

 Instructor
Instructor Responsibilities:
• Successfully teach Machining Fundamentals, Shop Theory, Math (Geometry/Trigonometry), Blueprint Reading, Conventional Machine Operations, CNC Programming, Inspection, and Mastercam Version 9.1 and Version X to students – note: not all of the above required to teach every course
• Follow course syllabus to ensure students get thorough instruction
• Develop and teach lesson plans to students for each program
• Assist students with any additional needs/help to succeed in class
• Keep up to date with attendance/roll sheets and follow up with Office Staff if students miss class
• Communicate with Lead Instructor and Campus Director to ensure prompt attention with any issues that arise   within the classes

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Expert level experience with Conventional Machines, CNC, Mastercam, Inspection, Blueprint Reading, Shop Theory, Machining Fundamentals, Math in a manufacturing environment
• Teaching/Instructing experience preferred but not required
• Exceptional communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships students, faculty and staff
These positions’ pay is based on experience. Lead Instructor – Norwalk Campus
NTMA Training Centers of Southern California, a private non-profit trust organization with 2 campuses in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results-oriented Lead Instructor to work at our Norwalk, CA campus. 
Lead Instructor Responsibilities:
• Manage Faculty, scheduling of instruction for classes, shop maintenance, inventory, curriculum
• Oversee classroom and shop training by conducting classroom observation, speaking with students and faculty regarding training
• Recruit, hire and train new Instructors
• Conduct Faculty meetings regarding safety, curriculum, classroom management, etc.
• Meet with Campus Director to discuss and resolve campus issues, weekly status updates, graduating classes and upcoming classes
• Substitute or Assist in classroom and shop instruction when needed

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Expert level experience with Conventional, CNC, Inspection, and Mastercam programming in a manufacturing environment required
• Proficiency with Blueprint Reading, Geometry, Trigonometry required
• Shop Foreman or Machine Shop Management experience required
• Teaching/Instructing experience preferred, certificate a plus
• Exceptional communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships students, faculty and staff
