The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Center at Tufts-New England Medical Center is the only cardiology clinic in the Northeast providing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment approach for patients with HCM. As part of this mandate, our HCM clinic, along with the Dr. Hassan Rastegar (Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center), have begun performing the surgical ventricular myectomy for HCM patients with severe heart failure symptoms and left ventricular outflow tract obstruction. We would be more than glad to answer any questions that a prospective patient may have concerning our HCM clinic as well as whether they may be a candidate for a septal reduction procedure.
