Houston CPA Society Embraces Social Networking
The Houston CPA Society is now on Facebook and LinkedIn! If you aren’t active on these two websites, now is the time to get involved! If you ARE active, here are a few tips to utilizing these social media outlets.
1. Ask Questions! The Houston CPA Society designed these pages for peer-to-peer interaction. With discussion boards, you may find another Society member who has been dealing with similar issues as you, and another Society member can offer an answer to your burning inquiry.
2. Submit Articles! Did you read or write an article that was beneficial to your practice? Submit this information to the group. Odds are another Society member will appreciate that information as well.
3. Don’t Be Afraid To Connect With People! In the past, you never introduced someone you didn't know personally to a business contact. It just wasn't done. In today's social networking arena, however, very few people meet face-to-face and many business relationships are nurtured via online venues like LinkedIn and Facebook. Remember, you hold the power of restriction levels for strangers, friends and groups on Facebook.
So, what’s there to lose? The Houston CPA Society Facebook Fan Page and LinkedIn Group provide you with constant information about upcoming events, professional discussions and topics and the opportunity to stay connected with other CPAs! Visit the websites, search for the Houston CPA Society and interact with fellow Society members. See you online!
