received notification of a
Stop-Use
and Recall Notice for both of these products.
1. Genie
Industries has determined that, under certain conditions on the following
models of forklifts, the parking brake may release unintentionally. If this happens, the machine could roll out
of control which may result in a collision or create another hazard. The model numbers are:
GTH-1048 and GTH-1056
Serial Numbers affected are:
GTH-1007B – 7101 to 7251
GTH-1007A – 11697 to 11770
GTH-1008A – 11785 to 13539
GTH-1009A – 13543 – 13704
GTH-1010A – 13713 – 13748

High impact propionate visors manufactured by Paulson
Manufacturing and marked Z87.1+ may not meet the high impact requirements of
the ANSI Z87.1-2003 standard. The visor
part number, material type and date of manufacture are identified on the visor
label. The visors affected include the
following part numbers manufactured from February 2004 through January 2010:

These visors meet all other
performance requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2003 including requirements for basic
impact.
MSA issued the Stop-Use and Recall
Notice as a precautionary measure. They
have not received any complaints or returns of the high impact propionate visor
part numbers listed above due to impact non-conformance since first offering
these products in 2004. They are offering, free of charge,
alternate visors to replace these products.
