Tomorrow Is Election Day — Go Vote!
Vote No on Proposition 2
The Board of Directors of the Austin Chamber of Commerce voted unanimously to oppose City of Austin Proposition 2 on the November 4 ballot and urged all of its members to join in opposing its passage. Proposition 2, if approved by the voters, would require the City of Austin to violate existing contracts with Mueller Redevelopment in East Austin and the Domain causing damage to the City's reputation with respect to honoring its commitments, possibly causing serious financial consequences to City tax payers through litigation and a down grade of Austin's bond ratings.

Vote Yes on AISD Proposition 1
The Austin Chamber of Commerce board supports AISD Proposition 1 to allow an increase the school district's maintenance and operations tax rate by 3.9 cents per $100 of property value. It would primarily be used to increase teacher staff salaries by a modest three percent.

Capital Metro will offer free bus service on Tuesday, November 4 for election day.
