Volunteers Needed for Election Day
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO WORK THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY:

Help us defeat Proposition 2 this election day. Volunteers are needed to work three hour shifts on Tuesday, November 4 at various polling locations. To volunteer and sign up for one or more of the four shifts, contact info@keepaustinsword.com.

If we don't defeat this dangerous charter amendment, we can expect the following:
• Lawsuits against the City of Austin resulting from the terminated legal agreements.
• Wall Street bond firms, which will re-examine Austin's municipal bond rating, will likely raise interest rates.
• Austin's hard-won reputation for honesty and fairness will suffer.

If this happens, it will likely cost taxpayers millions in legal fees and higher interest costs on new bonds, and our efforts to build a more vibrant, diversified, and sustainable economy will suffer. Please visit keepaustinsword.com for more information on why this will happen and for more information on Proposition 2. Yard signs are also available at the Chamber offices at 210 Barton Springs, Suite 400.
