• Hop on a horse-drawn carriage ride up and down Pacific Avenue every Thursday evening from 6 to 9:30 p.m. during downtown Tacoma’s Live After 5 program where so many merchants stay open later just for you. These relaxing rides are $50 for a half hour.
• Three new restaurants appear to be getting closer and closer to opening throughout Tacoma: Mary's Burger Bistro, an upcoming hamburger shop on the corner of South 23rd and Pacific Avenue downtown; Caper's Downtown, a future soup, sandwich and salad restaurant at South 7th and Pacific Avenue; and Bombay Bistro, bargain Indian food at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Stevens. We’re sure these restaurants will receive a warm Tacoma welcome upon arrival.

Creative Tacoma cupids to unite young Tacomans
Love Tacoma, a group of volunteers working to create and promote fun social and cultural happenings throughout the city to unite Tacoma’s 20-to-30-somethings, will host a free, open-invitation grand kickoff event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on June 12 at the Pacific Grill, 1502 Pacific Ave.

The Love Tacoma Team, which formed through Creative Tacoma, knows that the fusion between good times, meeting good people and Tacoma’s backdrop of endless, amazing amenities will continue to compel young, creative people to live, work, play and stay here.

The first gathering is an opportunity to mix and mingle in the gorgeously-restored Waddell building while enjoying a signature Love Tacoma cocktail created by the Pacific Grill and benefiting from an extended happy hour until 7 p.m. Participants will also have a chance to learn more about Love Tacoma and the monthly slate of enticing events that will follow.

For more information, visit the Love Tacoma Web site or contact Roxanne Murphy, a true Tacoma lover, at roxanne@creativetacoma.com.
