Block Tie Affair vibes, Tour of Urban Living thrives
The Community and Economic Development Department is proud to report on the success of this year’s Block Tie Affair and Tour of Urban Living. More than 350 people attended the Block Tie Affair, which was a first-time opportunity for many of these downtown residents to meet face to face. The Tacoma Club was filled that night with soothing music, glass clinking, bonding and community building. The Tour of Urban Living was just as much of a hit. The developers said their locations garnered from 200 to 1,000 visitors, and participants were buzzing about their favorite locations, with excitement in seeing the downtown renaissance. Many thanks go out to the organizations that sponsored these events, including Click! Network, The News Tribune, downtown developers, Tacoma’s Downtown Merchants Group and the Business Improvement Area.
