For The Sake of the Song:  The Story of Anderson Fair

Opening Night Film

Friday, Sept. 10 at 7:30

Lory Theater at Colorado State University

Lyle Lovett, Lucinda Williams, Guy Clark, Vince Bell, and a who’s who of other Americana and Alt-Country Music greats tell the story of how a devoted community of artists, volunteers, and patrons transformed a politically subversive little neighborhood restaurant, the Anderson Fair, into a legendary American music institution. Fostering some of America’s most important musical performers and songwriters, it has stubbornly bucked the odds and survived because of the dedication of a community of people with a common vision. (99 mins.)

We are pleased to welcome producer/cinematographer Jim Barham and singer/songwriter Vince Bell, who will be available for questions after the screening.

Like Dandelion Dust

Gala Evening Film

Saturday, Sept. 11 at 7:30

Lory Theater at Colorado State University

An  inspirational and compelling drama based on the best-selling novel by Karen Kingsbury, and starring Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite).  Two couples battle for the same young boy – one battling to keep the adopted son they love, and the other fighting to win back the son they gave away.  The boy’s future rests in their hands, and one couple must make the bravest decision of their lives. Sometimes the greatest love is letting go.  Also starring Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan), Kate Levering (“Drop Dead Diva”), and Cole Hauser (“K-Ville,”  “Chase”).  (102 mins.)

We are pleased to welcome producer Bobby Downes, who will be available for questions after the screening.
