CSU dedicates one of nation’s largest solar plants on university campus Colorado State University on Jan. 22 dedicated one of the largest solar plants in the nation at a university – a two-megawatt operation that will help the state meet goals for renewable energy and keep the university’s utility rates stable and affordable during the next 20 years. The solar power plant, owned features more than 8,000 Trina Solar panels that cover 15 acres of the university’s Foothills Campus – about three miles west of the main campus. Local nonprofit hosts successful fundraiser A recent fundraiser co-hosted by Stonehouse Grill netted $500 for Turning Point Center for Youth and Family Development. The money raised will help the organization’s general fund and support local youth and their families served by Turning Point. Turning Point is a non-profit organization with the mission to provide a high quality, structured and therapeutic environment with growth and change opportunities for everyone involved.
