New Belgium Brewing featured in national magazine Recently New Belgium and CEO Kim Jordan celebrated 18 years of growth and business. This feat and the company though has not only received local attention but recently national attention from Entrepreneur magazine, being features as the magazine's November cover story. The story focuses on New Belgium’s beginnings, who the company is and how it has been so successful. "It's really about entrepreneurial tenacity," Jordan told Entrepreneur Magazine about what it takes to be successful. "We just said, 'We're going to figure this out, we're going to make it work.' Local speech coach wins competition; moves on to regional event On Oct. 24, Datta Groover represented Fort Collins and Higher Speech in the Northern Colorado Speech Coaching Competition. In the competition, the coaches must listen to a test speaker that gives a speech that is five to seven minutes long. After hearing the speech, the audience or the contestants leave the room and return one at a time to coach the speaker. The one the judges deem has the best ideas and coaching abilities wins the competition. Groover not only won the competition of participants ranging from the Wyoming border along the Front Range to Denver but will now get the opportunity to represent Colorado at the next level in a regional competition with Wyoming, western Nebraska and Colorado.
Local architect firm recives award JCL Architecture, Fort Collins, received the Honor award from the American Institute of Architects Colorado North chapter in the commercial category for DAT in Cheyenne, Wyo.
