Public Meeting to Discuss Potential Sign Code Changes on May 11
On Wednesday, May 11 the City of Fort Collins will host a public meeting to gather input regarding a potential change to the sign code. No proposals have been made yet but City staff are researching and working to gather as much public input as possible. Any changes made to the sign code could have tremendous impact on businesses in Fort Collins and we would like to encourage any sign owners to attend this important meeting to make your voice heard. Business After Hours at the Coloradoan on May 19
Join the Fort Collins Coloradoan for Business After Hours on Thursday, May 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event is sure to be a great night with beverages from Wilbur's and delicious food. Everyone in attendance will receive a purple Yahoo! raffle ticket, with door prizes being announced every 15 minutes. The new Chamber site is clean, crisp and very informative, making it a great resource for its members, new residents and the general community. Photos, videos, RSS feeds and social media have all been incorporated into the new Chamber site. NCLA Legislative Wrap-up Event on May 17th
The Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance announced today that the 2011 Legislative Wrap-up event will be held on Tuesday, May 17th at 4:30 pm at American Eagle Distributing in Loveland. The event will feature discussions on 2011 Legislative session and the issues that were of the highest priority to the organization and the business community in Northern Colorado. Local legislators will present their reactions to the 2011 Legislative session. Members of the Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley Chambers of Commerce and the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation, as well as the general public, are encouraged to register online at NCLAonline.net. The cost for the event is $20 for chamber and NCEDC members and $25 for non-members and includes light appetizers, soft drinks and beer. The event will be held at American Eagle Distributing Center at 3800 Clydesdale Parkway conveniently located off I-25 and Crossroads. The NCLA 2011 Legislative Wrap-up Event is sponsored by American Eagle Distribution and Budweiser.

Congratulations to the 2010-2011 Leadership Fort Collins Class
It’s graduation season and the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate its 2010-2011 Leadership Fort Collins graduates. Thirty-one current and emerging leaders from throughout the Fort Collins area were selected to participate in the 2010-2011 program, which began in September 2010 and will conclude on May 12. Participants came together on the second Thursday of the month for a day-long session to learn more about Team Building, Government and Transportation, Economy and the Environment, Education and our Community, Social Capital, State Government, Health and Emergency Service Providers and Social Infrastructure.. The graduating class is a diverse mix of professions with representative from education, large and small business, not for profit and government.
