A Senior Marketing Moment
I hope all our readers had a wonderful holiday season and you had a chance for some time off to recharge for the New Year ahead.  I was lucky enough to have the entire week of Christmas off and spend that with my Dad.  You see, usually my Dad comes to visit only during the spring or summer months.  This is the first year since I moved to Texas that he has come for the holidays.

Okay maybe I should give you the background.  My Dad is retired (he's 80) and lives in Winter Haven, Florida.  He has lived there now for twenty years in his retirement community.  Winter Haven has a very large population of retirees.  Or as my Dad likes to say, "Old people live in Miami Beach; their parents live in Winter Haven."

Five Ways Subject Lines Can Improve Your Open Rates
We are often asked what can be done to improve open rates. Getting subscribers to open your message is the first step in creating an effective e-newsletter. Enticing Potential Readers with a Sample
Spam-cluttered inboxes lead many potential subscribers to tread lightly when they are deciding whether or not to subscribe to an e-newsletter.  Some of the burning questions that plague many would-be subscribers are “What am I going to receive?,” “How often am I going to receive it?,” and “What if I end up not wanting what I subscribed to?”

These apprehensions can be quickly addressed by adding a little more information to your subscription box or web site.   The solution?  Offer up a sample e-newsletter!

How do I do that?
I created an article, why is it not appearing?
Below is a list of checks that you can go through in order to determine why the article might not be displaying properly.

1. Edit the article properties.

The first thing to check in the case of a missing article is the article properties.

There are several settings that may prevent an article from displaying. You can edit these for each missing article by either clicking on the green "Articles" button or the red "Layout" button on the Main Menu. In each case, click on the article in question to edit and check the following settings on the "Edit Article" screen.

Can I reuse or copy, articles from a previous issues?
There are actually two ways of sharing article content with future issues. You should start by figuring out how you want this article to behave.

Option 1 creates that article in every issue you create. This is useful if the article should always stay the same or you don't mind that any changes you make to it would go into affect even for previously posted pages.

Option 2 simply allows you to create a copy of a previously existing article. This option is more of a copy and paste. It simply creates a copy of the article into the current issue. Any changes you make this way only affects the issue you are currently in. This is useful if you have previous articles you would like to use but you want to make changes and not affect a previous version.
