Update to Email Bounce Processing
Over the past month we have made an update to the bounce processing rules. This update will significantly improve our identification of bad email addresses, thereby reducing the number unknown bounces. As a result, customers may see an increase in bad email address bounces recorded, a decrease in the report of total messages delivered, and an increase in the open rate statistic.
This improvement is the result of an update to our keyword logic and handling of bounces from mail servers running Microsoft Exchange which was currently upgraded to send better email failure messages back to the sending server.
