As a current eNews Builder customer or past trial account holder, we want to call your attention to a new feature we are adding to our e-newsletter layout to assist you in complying with the new law.  The changes outlined below will affect all communications sent using eNews Builder technology beginning January 1, 2004.

Postal Address in Email Footer

The new law requires that a physical address be included in all commercial email. That means that a valid postal address must be included in every e-newsletter. To protect our customers from any liability exposure, eNews Builder is requiring this for any email sent out through our system.

The postal address information is edited via the Title/Headings page. The input fields for this information are as follows:

Company/Sender Name
Address
City
State/Region
Zip/Postal Code
Country

You will be required to complete all of these fields. By default, these fields will be automatically filled using the address information provided at the time the account was created and found in the Publisher's Information area.

If an account does not have all of the required address information, the Title/Headings page will be automatically displayed with a message indicating that this information needs to be supplied. For example:

In order to ensure compliance with federal laws, please provide a complete and accurate mailing address at which you can be reached. Please fill all required fields. NOTE: Please note that providing false or misleading information in commercial email may be a federal offense.

The postal address will be added to the subscription management tools found in the email footer. The email footer will be formatted to look like the example below:
