Author’s Evening June 8, Meet Tom Medema, an interpretive park ranger with the National Park Service for over 15 years. Sierra Saturday Art Hop and Saturday Lecture Series on June 9, Photography is the focus at the Sierra Saturday Art Hop. Ron D. Young would be joining Paul Worthington for our Sierra Saturday Art Hop event. Ron is the wonderful photographer who has taken all of the gorgeous photos of Yosemite that are currently in the store. Author’s Evening June 15, Meet a poet, Brandon Cesmat, author of “Driven into the Shade”, winner of 2003 San Diego Book Award for Poetry. Saturday Poetry Event on June 16 from 11:00 a.m.to 6 p.m. Several authors will read throughout the day.

CalChamber Helping Update Vital Statewide

(May 31, 2007) A California Chamber of Commerce policy advocate is part of an advisory committee that is helping develop a roadmap for managing California’s water resources. The state Department of Water Resources (DWR) recently appointed Valerie Nera, CalChamber policy advocate for agriculture, resources and privacy, to the California Water Plan Update 2009 Public Advisory Committee.

PG&E supports Chambers “Fun Things to Do in Eastern Madera” Film Project with a $5,000.00 grant!

The Chamber E-Newsletter is published on the first and third Wednesday of the month. The deadline (to ensure your submissions makes it in time) is the Wednesday prior to the publish date. NOTE: We reserve the right to edit material submitted to the Chamber.
Important Note: We try to limit 25 to 30 articles per issue. Therefore, articles will be placed in the newsletter on a first-come basis with special consideration to events with dates that take place within the timeframe of the published newsletter.
