Great opportunity for exposure!
Did you know… the Oakhurst Mountain Peddlers Fair attracts over 15,000 to the Memorial Day Weekend Show? Almost everyone who attends will stop and purchase a beverage at one of the OACC beverage booths. These booths can be a source of great exposure for your group or organization. Groups are allowed to display banners, flyers, and brochures while they volunteer a four hour work shift with a team of 2 or more adults. It takes over 200 volunteers to man these booths during the newly extended 3 day event. So we need lots of volunteers!

CalChamber Opposes Health Care Tax on Small Employers
oppose5-06webThe California Chamber of Commerce is opposing AB 8 (Núñez; D-Los Angeles), which imposes a tax on small employers who can’t afford to provide health care coverage. The Assembly Health Committee is scheduled to consider AB 8 on April 17. AB 8 requires employers to provide health care coverage or pay a new payroll tax, which should require approval by a two-thirds vote, although the bill has not been classified that way by the Legislature.

Business Leaders Say Time of Essence
to Improve High School Graduates' Skills

“Extremely challenged and essential to the future and economic viability of businesses in California, let alone the broader attractiveness of the state as a place to live and work.”
That’s how one senior California business executive described the state of the K-12 education system.
