Chicken Soup for the Computer
by Susan Clement, Account Executive Sierra Tel Business Systems
Mume (Aunt) Sophie was a nudnick. “Try my gefilte fish” she’d say or “Don’t stay in the sun too long, you’ll burn.” A little of Mume Sophie rubbed off on me, at least when it comes to your computer. Shop Local!
So, what does $65.60 mean?
The Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce asks all businesses in Eastern Madera County to join in and participate by displaying this number in a predominate location at your work place. This number signifies how much it costs to shop in Fresno. Another way to look at this number is how much you would have to save before you break even, when you shop in the Valley. The fact is that for the average consumer, it actually costs more to shop in Fresno than it does shopping locally!

Sierra Art Trails November News
www.sierraarttrails.org

Hello Artists, Artisan, and Friends,
Sierra Art Trails 2006 has passed, and we have all had a bit of time to rest. For the artists, planning committee, and volunteers, the weeks leading up to the show can be exhausting, with countless details that must be dealt with before the event. At the same time the excitement is palatable, and the thought of hundreds of others working throughout the region to make the show a success is both exciting and inspirational.
