Get your passport now!
Brought to you by, Oakhurst Cruise & Travel Center
www.oakcrutrvl.com
by Barbara Starkey
We’re getting a lot of questions about passports. Everyday we get calls, and our staff is stopped as we go about errands around town – Do I need a passport? And when? Are you planning a trip to Mexico, the Caribbean, or Canada? Currently, you can travel there with just a certified copy of your birth certificate and driver’s license. But that’s going to change, and soon.

Do you really know how to forward e-mails? 50% of us do; 50% DO NOT.
Tip of the week!
by Deborah Hall, Mona Vie Distributor
Do you wonder why you get viruses or junk mail (Spam)? Do you hate it? Every time you forward an e-mail there is information left over from the people who got the message before you and sent it to you, namely their e-mail addresses and names. As the messages get forwarded along, the list of addresses builds, and builds, and builds.

Chicken Soup for the Computer
by Susan Clement, Sierra Tel Business Systems
Bubbe used to say “if you don’t have your health, you’ve got bobkes (translation: nothing).” The same could be said of your computer network. An unhealthy network is costly in terms of lost time and efficiency. Many factors affect the health of your network – from viruses to hardware failures. One area that is often overlooked but can have devastating effects is the issue of unauthorized or pirated software.

So, what does $65.60 mean?
The Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce asks all businesses in Eastern Madera County to join in and participate by displaying this number in a predominate location at your work place. This number signifies how much it costs to shop in Fresno. Another way to look at this number is how much you would have to save before you break even, when you shop in the Valley. The fact is that for the average consumer, it actually costs more to shop in Fresno than it does shopping locally!

When bumpers meet antlers
by Marilyn Rigg, State Farm® agent
When people get ready to walk across a public road, they usually look both ways first to see if any motor vehicles are coming.
