Job Fairs Continue to Draw Thousands

Over 7,500 job seekers attended two job fairs just weeks ago.  WCF’s ONE-STOP CAREER CENTERS partnered with the Orlando Sentinel to bring 3,000 job seekers to the “Employ Orlando’ job fair on August 26th.  Thirty-three employers were on hand at the job fair to accept applications from a well-qualified audience.  This is the first time the ONE-STOP CAREER CENTERS have partnered with the Orlando Sentinel on a job fair.  The centers helped the job fair grow from last year’s 1,500 job seekers and 20 employers, while the Orlando Sentinel helped to promote the centers in advertising both on-line and in print.

The ONE-STOP CAREER CENTERS also partnered with the Central Florida Employment Council for the September 5th Governor’s Job Fair.  Almost 4,500 job seekers meet with 70 employers to apply for 900 job opportunities.

The ONE-STOP CAREER CENTERS will be hosting job fairs at each of the centers on October 14th and November 12th.  There is no charge to your company for participating in these two job fairs.  If your company is interested in participating, please contact Tim Wilson at 407/741-4365 ext 2084 or twilson@mail.workforcecentral.org.
