The H-1B Technical Skills Training Grant awarded to WCF by the US Department of Labor assists manufacturers in the High-Tech Corridor achieve higher productivity through development and implementation of strategic workforce development plans. WCF has partnered with the Florida Manufacturing Extension Service (FMEP) to assist eligible employers in developing and implementing the employee training plans and enabling technologies required to meet corporate business goals. Skill assessment and training services are provided through partnerships with regional workforce development boards and educational institutions situated across the High Tech Corridor from Daytona Beach to Manatee/Bradenton. Over 700 employees are expected to be served through this grant.
