As the demand to hear more about myregion.org continues to increase, so do the number of public presentations taking place throughout Central Florida. Project representatives as well as volunteer speakers are making appearances throughout the seven-county area talking about the purpose, status and significance of myregion.org. Some of the upcoming presentations include:

• Brevard County Board of County Commissioners: This presentation took place at the Canaveral Port Authority Board Room at for 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 12. Shelly Lauten, Project Director, spoke to the Commission providing an update on the project’s status as well as the upcoming workshop series.
  
  
• East Orlando Chamber of Commerce: Business executives from East Orlando are expected to attend this luncheon program at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 19. It will be held at the Radisson Hotel on Alafaya Trail. Orlando attorney and myregion.org volunteer Robert Stovash will share the project's vision and data from the initiative.
  
  
• East Polk County Committee of 100: Project Director Shelley Lauten appeared Friday, June 7, before this prestigious business group offering an update on the initiative connecting Polk County to this regional effort. Lauten previewed myregion.org’s intricate map system that pinpoints the region’s assets and systems.
  
  
• Cocoa City Council: At 7:00 p.m. on June 11, Project Director Shelley Lauten gave an overview of myregion.org to the Council members, Department Directors and key staff of the City of Cocoa. Using a power point presentation, Lauten described the project’s goals and objectives, reviewed some of the maps of the region and encouraged the group to participate of the upcoming “Essential Activities Workshops” to be held from July 9-12 at the Orlando Science Center.
