What Are You Looking
At? No, its not tough guy Robert DeNiro questioning you. Its
the new advertising campaign for myregion.org,
which will soon be launched on local radio and television stations, promoting
the upcoming Essential
Activities Workshops scheduled for next month.
The ad campaign was designed
to reach audiences that might not be familiar with the myregion.org
initiative and to inspire others to attend the workshops, which will be held
from July 9 to 12 at the Orlando Science Center. This is the final opportunity
for public input on the Information Collection phase of the project.
The What Are You Looking
At? theme is designed to challenge the public on how much is really known
about Central Florida and its assets, such as schools, transportation, the environment
and cultural offerings as well as a variety of other issues being examined.
The TV and radio ads, will
also air on several Hispanic radio stations and will appear in a variety of
print and electronic forms, including a series of postcards. Additionally, public
service announcements will begin airing on the local television station community
calendars.
The essence of this
project is to be inclusive. We want to make every possible effort to reach everyone
who might want to follow myregion.org,
get involved and have their voices heard, or simply find out the status of our
community, explained Executive
Committee member and Communications Liaison, Ellen Titen.
