Dr. Shlomo Kalish of Jerusalem Global Ventures

Jerusalem Global Ventures - Shlomo Kalish, was awarded  “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the “Virginia Israel Technology Trade Summit 2001  held in Northern Virginia.  According to Kalish, “this Summit opened my eyes to the possibilities and highly developed internet infrastructure of the area.  Now I realize that Northern Virginia/Washington has to be added to the other two areas, Silicon Valley and Boston, when you talk about the top technology areas in the US”. 

Jerusalem Global Ventures was founded by Dr. Shlomo Kalish, one of Israel's most successful venture capitalists, JG Ventures is a $200 million group of seed-focused venture funds that invests in or initiates Israeli and Israel-related hi-tech companies:

CommLaunch - communications infrastructure technology, wireless data, optical systems and components;

NetLaunch - communication enabling software technology;

InnoMed - medical and life sciences

Redux Communications ,  based in McLean, Virginia and Modiin, Israel -- recently announced the closing of its second institutional round of finance in the amount of $6 million from Partech International, Genesis Partners and Giza Venture Capital Funds. Redux’s first round in June 2000 was $5 million. The company develops chip-based technology for Internet traffic processing at the user side of the access link.
