TTC Comes to West Palm Beach, FL
Adelphia Communications subscribers in the company’s St. Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach county service areas will have access to The Tennis Channel. Aside from the fact that 41 percent of its residents are tennis fans, the West Palm Beach area is also home to some of the most important tennis professionals in the world – from Serena and Venus Williams to Andy Roddick, Anna Kournikova and Chris Evert

"I am so excited about finally getting The Tennis Channel in South Florida on Adelphia. This is one of the best tennis markets in the world and the channel is going to be an amazing way to keep up to date with all the things happening in the world of tennis. Thank you Adelphia!" stated Roddick, current U.S. Open champion and world’s no. 1 ranked men’s player.

"There is so much great tennis that never gets on television and they [The Tennis Channel] seem to have it all,” said multi-grand slam winner Serena Williams. "I am really excited about The Tennis Channel coming to West Palm. I know we will be watching."

In addition to being home to the third largest tennis fan base in the United States, the West Palm Beach area is also the site of some of the top junior tennis academies, the International Tennis Championships, the Master Series NASDAQ 100, and a number of other world-renowned tennis tournaments.  “It is a perfect fit. We listened to our West Palm Beach residents and are pleased to know we are providing them with a service they value so highly,” stated Dan Hebert, senior vice president of Adelphia Communications.

Most West Palm Beach area residents will able to preview The Tennis Channel for free via Adelphia’s analog service now through December 1. Those who would like to subscribe to the channel will be able to do so through the company’s digital service beginning in December.  “There are probably more pro tennis players living in the West Palm Beach area than anywhere else in the world. I am grateful that our new partnership with Adelphia, a great supporter of tennis, brings The Tennis Channel into so many living rooms in the area,” stated Steve Bellamy, president and founder of The Tennis Channel.
